Hi — quick summary of the problem:

I desoldered the BIOS chip from a Lenovo X260, flashed a dump I found in the RAR you posted, and the programmer reported the write as successful. After re-soldering the chip the laptop stopped booting: the power LED flashes three times green and nothing else happens. I’ve attached my original BIOS dump (read before any changes).

            Please help with:
            1. Diagnosis — what could cause the three-green-blink after reflashing?
            2. Recovery — exact first steps I should try (readback, reflash original, checks to make).
            3. Supervisor password — can you modify my original dump (or tell me how) to clear the Supervisor password so I can reinstall an OS?

I can also upload the flashed dump, programmer log, and photos of the chip/board if you need them. What files do you want first?

            Thanks.

Hi everyone — quick thread in case someone can help.

I desoldered the BIOS chip from a Lenovo X260 and flashed a dump I found in a RAR from this forum. The programmer said the write was successful. After re-soldering the chip the laptop won’t boot: the power LED flashes three times green and nothing else happens. I’m attaching my original dump (read before any changes), the dump I flashed, the programmer log, and photos of the chip/board.

              Can someone help with:
              • Possible causes of the three-green-blink/no-boot after reflashing?
              • Recovery steps I should try first (readback, reflash original, multimeter checks, etc.)
              • If useful, can you inspect my dumps and tell if one looks wrong or how to clear the Supervisor password?

Thanks — any guidance or step-by-step checks would be great.
