The touch screen no longer works and is not present in the component test section on the bios, even if, for example, the optical unit that this notebook does not have is present in the list. Under windows the touch screen hardware is not recognize
I would like to make an attempt to replace the 16M bios but all the dumps downloaded from this site do not start the system and leave the fans 100%. I need a dump possibly from a touch screen system. thank you

Download from HP and combine with your file.

Normally I open the bios file with ME analyzer, identify the correct version of Fitc and decompose the bios file, replace the part concerning the bios region with the file downloaded from the manufacturer's website. There are other ways too, but in this way I also check the whole file. In this case errors come out that I don't understand what they refer to.
I have attached the original file and the bios downloaded from the HP website which I don't think is encrypted

The ME firmware is corrupt.Post your bios backup .

Done, this motherboard also has another 8M chip that I suppose is an EC firmware but unlike usual all the downloaded dumps are different and if I change it a window appears with the writing not to turn off the pc as a bios update is in progress ??

The 2nd bios is a surestart recovery bios.Its not the full bios,its without the ME region,flash descriptor.

Try this bios.

Just to know, I was seeing ME region version and there are two of them and they depend on the PDM power down mitigation, you have used YPDM as th original file?
What are the differences, is it a matter of power?

I read on the win-raid forum it doesn`t really make any difference.If i clean a bios that has YPDM i use that firmware. I used the ME firmware from HP, its listed under the Firmware section https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers...ook-pc/8654820
