            Thinkpad T480s:
            Type: 20L7-001NGE
            S/N: PC13XSFF
            Motherboard: ET481 NM-B471
            Bios Chip: MXL12873F

I have bought the laptop as "broken". When turning the Laptop on it plays a beep melody. "Lenovo PC Diagnostics" App identified the beep melody as: error code 0285 - This error code refers to "TCG-compliant functionality-related error(might be the TPM initialization failure".

As mentioned on this Reddit Thread to get a CH341A and flash the BIOS.

Therefore I have used the CH341A and AsProgrammer 2.0.4. After a few attempts I was able to make 3 identical readings of the Bios Chip.

As this laptop did not have any working bios from the beginning, I would need a .bin from a working dump to flash the bios.

Thank you very much for the assistance in advance.

Hello here are two new files. And yes, your original file is corrupt.
              Either one should work.
Just be careful with the resistors when programming with a clip.
              Otherwise neither works.
Lenovo_T480s_outimage.bin is one from my archives.
Bios_T480s_new_outimage.bin is your with new BIOS region.
              Good luck ....

Hello Markus1741, thank you very much for the fast reply. I used your Bios_T480s_new_outimage.bin and at least it somehow worked. It shows at least the Lenovo Startup logo after that it shows me two errors which you can see at the screenshot below.

When clicking F1 to continue it asks me for a supervisor password? Did your bios dump/image had one? If so, can you forward it to me by any chance?

If not then I will try this method from this Thread:
                https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/ne...-bios/38125/15

“A user over at badcaps.net 6, where Sweet Kitten linked the first image from, has build a LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal 95.

So I downloaded that tool and pretty much followed the instructions lined out in the thread using the
unbricked_old.bin that @lfb6 had uploaded. So basically:

                1. Run the tool on the unbricked image
                2. Flash that image to the chip
                3. Boot up and follow instructions ← this gets rid of the supervisor password
                4. Flash the original unbricked image to the chip again
                5. Factory reset BIOS (which is now accessible without a password!)

It does look a bit shady though, ngl, so I'm not sure yet what to think of it and if it didn't introduce some unwanted guests or something.

But: It did work. After that, the machine did boot normally without any errors or warnings. Bonus: BitLocker was still in place and accepted my old password, so I was able to recover everything and everything is working as if nothing ever happened!”

The file Bios_T480s_new_outimage.bin is your original uploaded file that I repaired.
If you don't know that your notebook has a supervisor password, I certainly don't know. But it's also nice that it worked.
Lenovo hasn't stored a password in the BIOS chip for ages but always in the EC chip MECxxx or ITExxx or Nuvotonxxx

Laptop turn on and POST OK

                              BUT

Could it be related with bios?
It was working before it got bricked.
