I found a dump in this forum for a similar model and after flashing it the password is gone but now I'm getting a warning: "not commited state". Should I need a "better"(more suitable for my laptop) bios image or is there any other way to remove that warning?

@SMDFlea: Thanks! I tried and no more warning, but its asking me to update the Bios. I think I can do that later. Great!

I would really like to learn how to do it, so I can help others in the same way you did. Is there any tutorial on that?

So we got the BIOS unlocked but I'm getting the "machine not in committed state" warning during boot and it definitely has a long hesitation/pause before showing the blue HP logo screen.
I double checked all the identity info in the BIOS and serial # etc all seem to match.
DMIFIT tells me MPM is locked.
Any ideas from anyone? I'm guessing for some reason the UUID changed or I need to generate a new one?

Re: HP Zbook 14 Mobile Workstation (G1)

Got this installed and got all the HP "Not for production BIOS" warnings. Then I followed the instructions that had the laptop self propagate all of the needed fields and lock the MPM.
I assume that was the right procedure to follow?
It populated all the fields and identifiers as before, but still shows Machine not in committed state.
Then it refused to launch back into Win 10. Either from the drive I had running on it, or from my UFEI USB image to reinstall.
The Windows loading dot circle shows up but just spins, walked away for more than 30 mins and just nothing happens now.
Going to give up and just pitch this little guy. It's sleek, but the hardware isn't anything to rave about and it's also got this unique issue I've never come across.
It cuts it's power after about 10 seconds every other boot. No matter what state it's in. Every other boot, power just cuts out.
I've stripped it down to just a motherboard and stick of ram. Every other boot.....power cuts out.
While I'm gonna trash it, the power cut thing really fascinates me, I can't wrap my heard around what could be wrong with it.
