    Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1K1

    Hello everybody,

Been trying to solve this one and I need your help.
The only thing the laptop does is to have the led for the charger on.
Have already tried all the bios dumps and (8mb & small one) found on the forum with no result. The strange thing is that on the 8mb bios chip if it is soldered 3V is not present on the 8th pin. So I have reprogrammed another chip withe the same capacity but with no result! With the new chip I have 3V.
The board is DABLIDMB8E0 rev E.
As last resort I thought that maybe the found bios files are not compatible with mine, so I have attached the original dumps and the full update from toshiba's site
Any ideas? Can somebody divide the full update to 2 files?

    Thanks in advance!

      Hello,

Thanks for your reply, yes Desktop.rar is the original bios backup.
I will check the file later and let you know. Because it has 2 chips do you also have that file or it's not necessary ?

Well unfortunately I have the same problem with the file, when I solder it back to the board 3.3V disappear from 8th pin (on the small IC U17 voltage exists..). New bios chip of course. When I erase the chip and solder it empty on the board I have voltage on that pin! Very strange. So to be 100% that it is not bios - reprogramming related if someone could help me into separating the downloaded file from toshiba's site just to be sure.
        Thanks

I see then the problem must be from somewhere else maybe. The odd thing is only when I solder the main bios chip 3.3v disappear, but U17 (small chip) has voltage.
            Anyway going to dig further.
            Thanks
