The bios password is not stored in eeprom 8pins in this model .

find the motherboard (L08 EEPROM) maybe inside black paper this type image.

this mobo using a super i-o with lenovo brand and i think that password is stored in i/o.....any ideas will be helpful

mec1633 is used in all these and next level motherboards ... which works like more than and IO controller .. it works like microcontroller with built in CPU and RAM .. its ROM can not be accessed by normal procedures .. we are all waiting for some solution to happen .. but right now .. its security is not breakable

You are right about mec1633l...no programers available...but it is breakable...find donor board and replace mec1633 or visit this

I tried the PIN short Method, now my x240 is not booting up. Solid yellow lign on the Power button,
It does beep when I remove the RAM,
I guess BIOS need to reprogram again,
Any solution?
