Hi,
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook E547 vPro that does not boot anymore after Windows Update tried to install a new Bios version. Screen stays black no post - only the numblock light blinks.
What I've tried:
I have used my CH341A to read the bios chip (25Q128FVSQ) (Dump attached) - I think the dump is "good" because I could find the Serial number in the data and also the Winkeyfinder found a windows key.
for the lack of any other Idea I took the bios from this post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...73#post1651873) copied over the windows key from the original dump and the parts where the serial and model number were written and flashed it to the chip and the laptop is now working again - BUT the boot takes longer because the ME is shot (bios shows ME version 0.0.0.0) flashing a new bios with the Fujitsu tool fails(IHISI 15h failed- error code 0x20 - permission denied by user) - using the windows ME flash tool also fails.
so I hope you can help me put together a proper working bios.
I analysed the dumped rom with MEAnalyser and got: Version: 11.8.94.4494 - Flash Image Tool: 11.6.29.3287
the closes ME file from win-raid I could find is 11.8.92.4222_COR_LP_C_NPDM_PRD_RGN.bin
I also tried to extract the Insyde files from the Fujitsu update pack
I tried to open the old dump with Flash Image Tool 11.6.20.1221 but it cannot be opened (corrupt buffer) - uefitool can open it
so now I'm not sure how to proceed....
I have attached: the dump of the original (broken bios): oldrom.zip
and the the download from the Fujitsu website for the old dumps version = 1.27 for E5x7 vPro): Fujitsu_BIOS_1.27.zip
Here the info to the laptop:
Fujitsu Lifebook E547 vPro
Serial: DS1M001050
Systemboard: CP729430-01
The Bios is an Insyde type Bios
Is it possible to build a working (flashable) Bios image from the old dump and the download from Fujitsu? Any help is appreciated!
