The EC firmware is on an external chip , U3003 as far as i know.

Yes, on an external chip. It's an ITE IT8570E. That's why i need the software to describe it. I have to extract the firmware from the Bios file and then flash it separately on the EC. And for that i need the programmer tool...

My friend, i dont know what you mean by U3003!? Ok, i'll start from the beginning: I'm buying an old Asus laptop. Mainboard name K72JR Rev 2.0 and it was dead. I found and flashed a suitable bios file with the Ch341a programmer and the laptop started again. But the fan turns on after 10 seconds and goes on full speed. and szays at 100%. So the Bios on the SPI chip ( it is an SST 25VF032B ) is ok. The embedded controller has a problem, so the firmware on it! And that's my problem...I want to repair the EC firmware and this is explicitly only possible with the ITC EC SPI Programmer Tool. So i need this tool...

In that schematic U3001 are a IT8512E-L ( IT8512BX / IT8512CX / IT8512DX ) and exist U3003 ( SST25VF080B ).

In the another schematic, U3001 are a IT8500E-L ( IT8570E ) and dont have U3003.

Thats its my observation.

The IT8570E chip currently on the board might be different to what was originally there. A question for the OP is, is U3003 populated or not.
