what you extracted from bios update is only Bios_Region, use FIT 14.0 to replace Bios_Region and ME_Region (where the problem is) and transfer DMI to new bios image. Use Z8IV file from update package.

Ok, maybe someone can help me with this. The advice I've received requires a certain learning curve and for first time it's best to do it with a fully operational motherboard, which isn't the case. A willing volunteer would be greatly appreciated,"Geniuses" are free not to waste their time with advice..Thanks in advance.

This is a learning forum, you have all the tools in Bios Guides. Since you are mocking us, well, fell free not to waste our time. I was willing to help you until I read your last comment (see picture). 1st, learn how to read bios content properly, a 256Mb chipset has 33.554.432 bytes dump, look at your dump.

Dump was attached... see size... 8.41 MB rar 32 MB unzipped...256mb flash chip correct size.. anyway, motherboard error resolved (no BIOS related) , I think I specified "geniuses" to refrain, so I wasn't expecting your "help" anyway since you apparently can't read well.. cheers.

P.D. There are hundreds of users requesting to have their Dump repaired and many have kindly offered to do so. For all those people of good faith the file "25Q256FV(OTP)@WSON8_acer.rar" is fully functional (except Bios password) , for you VOLINAKIS..This is the first time I've seen such an arrogant reaction. get lost.
