Asus X1500E With faulty onboard RAM

    Hi

I tried to remove the onboard ram from the bios with the scrip from this forum. It removed 7 things and I loaded back the new bios. Now the laptop flashes one and then completely dead, no power on. (did I forget something?)

I do not have the original bios now only the overwritten one. Can I ask a working bios without the onboard ram? SN: N9N0CV11J031386

    Many thanks

By default the script makes a backup called disableram.bin.bak ,did you delete that, is it in your recycle bin

Disabling ram in the bios isn`t going to work. Flash the unmodded bios back ,look for a schematic & boardview, it might or might not be possible to disable it by moving some resistors. If not your last option is to replace the ram chips.
