Post the laptop serial number.. .What model is your programmer and software version. What part number is etched on top of the bios chip, is it in the programmers support list, is it detected. Is it 3.3V or 1.8V

        Hello.
i have read rules and sorry for missing somethin important.
        Laptop MOBO FH52M LA-J891P Rev: 1 B
        S/N:NHQ7CEK00203408B623400
        SNID:03403568234
        Chip ID 25Q80EWS 1.8v
        Programmer rt809f
        Progrmaer detects chip but incorectly,
        001: Serial number:20220930091656-021364, Programmer firmware version: V5.0 .
002: Auto identified 13 ID is match with the partnumber.
        003:
        004: The currently selected:W25Q80DW@SOIC8-200, capacity: 8Mbits, 1Mbytes.
        005: RT809F V5 , VCC = 1.8V
        006: >------------------------------------OK---------------------------------------<

It is not DW its EW.

007: Chip pins contact is detected OK.
        008: Chip ID verification OK.
        009: UniqueID:0x27592A47A2C869E2
        010: Start reading chip......
        011: Status register1 values: 0x0, Status register2 values: 0x0 .
        012: Read successful,Elapsed time:1.616 seconds.
        013: Auto verifying...
014: Chip verification error, start position: 0x74.
        015: Verification failure,Elapsed time:0.119 seconds.
        016: Read error, operation aborted.

i can point to correct chip id on the list, but chip cant be read. Also im using correct 1.8v adapter.

i suspect bios chip corupted or faulty and hoping to get new coppy of bios and try another bios chip.

also sorry if im braking rules.

The 25Q80EWS chip is 8-Mbit , 8 Mega bits. 8-Mbits is equal to 1MB Mega Byte. It is not the bios chip, it will be the firmware for the vBios, Thunderbolt or something else. Read this thread - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...fh52m-la-j891p

To close this topic up. Got bios file from another place.
Did not fix the issue. Suspect Dead CPU.
