    Bios Medion Erazor NH55EPY-M / Clevo NH55EPY

    Hello,

I'm trying to repair a laptop for my neighbors

They said to me sometimes it takes very long to bootup (showing POST).
This was from the first day they got it about 3~4 years ago.

Last years it was getting worse and the problem occurs frequently.

But when is booted it was running fine and fast.
Until yesterday it will not boot anymore.
    • 1 fan spins and the cpu/gpu getting warm after some time the second fan will kick in.
    • with the key FN+1 (fan test) both fans spin full power.
    • No boot
    • no display (also not on external hdmi)
    • no beeps without memory
    • power led is on (front)
    • power button led on after pressing it.
    • when disconnecting all devices except memory and power button also no response.
    • I completely disassembled it and cannot find any visible damage to the board.
    • From the service manual I found SYS_PWROK = OK and APU_PWROK = OK
So my last hope is a corrupted bios.

I have a TL866II plus with SPI driver for ISCP but is does not support W74M12JWSIQ.
Like another user here I managed to read something but as "W25Q128FW(1.8V)@SOIC8"

I would really appreciate a working bios dump for this device to compare and flash.

Thank you, This one is working and the notebook is back to live.
i edited the file and added the DMI block from the backup.

now it wont boot because of the w11 bitlocker encryted station.
is there a way to recover the key from the dump?

                Thank you everyone,

Saved another one from the scrap pile.

Laptop is working again. I used the bitlocker recovery key from the outlook account backup.

                  🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                  by macabook
                  Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                  🧩 Initial Issue
                  • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                  • External display (HDMI) shows
                  ...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS
                  by cr4zychriss
                  Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS
                  by pirati
                  Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

                  Bios for Clevo P670RP6
                  by Axton
My laptop has a GTX 1060 installed, but it is not recognized in the BIOS (see attachment). The chip gets warm and the fans spin. I think there is an error in the BIOS.
Could there be a switch to activate/deactivate the graphics card?
I am also unable to install an Nvidia driver in Windows.

                  Data about my motherboard:

                  S/N: 1TP670RP6310404
                  P/N: 6-77-P670RP6A-N02A-B#10
