    MEDION AKOYA S15450 MD 63650 MSN: 30030203

Hello, I have a problem with a Medion notebook.

    https://www.medion.com/de/service/pr...etail/30030203

    MEDION AKOYA S15450 (MD 63650) A-DE N MSN: 3003 0203 with Windows 10 64x

The keyboard makes random entries and I don't seem to be the only one. Someone on this board has the same problem. I had BIOS version 207 installed and the BIOS version that Medion Support offers here as 209.

    Bios Version from Andys Post

The notebook updated the BIOS without any problems, but I have now installed BIOS version 213. Unfortunately I didn't make a backup before the update. I hope someone can help so that my notebook keyboard doesn't malfunction anymore.

I assume that the error appeared due to a Windows Bios update. Maybe someone can tell me where Windows stores a backup in bios updates, then I could try to flash the version before 207

I've added pictures of the keyboard's ribbon cable, in case that's helpful

    Thank u

I can't make a full BIOS backup. I don't have full access to the chip. I don't know why it doesn't read everything when creating ROM

Which program can I use to create a full backup? With the AMI Tool 5 it only creates a 11,42 MB ROM for me

you need an SPI programmer..here is a video as an example...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWigscuQDY

Thank you but is to late.

Can anyone tell me if the DMI data is included in the 12MB BIOS backup?

I have checked the bios, there is no active GUID in the bios for microsoft updates. The only place you can get the older bios version is from an older bios dump or from Medion support.I would suggest that you ask support https://community.medion.com/t5/Note.../104097/page/3

Thank you, but can you explain to me what you mean by active GUID and what I should ask Medion Support?

The DMI is in your bios backup at those offsets.

                      An example GUID https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...96#post3292496

You can only get the bios from Medion support

Did I understand correctly that I don't get any Microsoft updates without an active GUID? Sorry for the question, but I'm not that deep into BIOS configurations. I just want to understand it better
