I am determined to get it, there seems to be a lot of secrecy in the forum regarding these things, I got in the official support the executable bios I unzipped it with 7zip, there are two files .bin one of 8.75mb and another with 5.24mb, my intuition leads me to use the 8.75 but I am having a lot of information left over because the copy of the BIOS of the machine has an exact weight of 8mb
Not so in that copy I used the WinHex application to open it and look for the serial number information, to my surprise I looked for the barcode of the plate and all this information appeared in one place that starts with the offset address 0075dff0 and ends in 0075e0f0, so I understand that this is the region of the bios where this data is saved

I just need to know what is left over from the BIOS that I downloaded from the official support copy the relevant information from the old BIOS to the new one and rewrite the tsop, this machine is an old non-UEFI bios, but there I lack to know where the region is where the Windows activation license is saved if someone would be so kind to explain I would be more grateful

PD the file was extracted from HP Support Updater executable

Oh really? You mean a lot of lazy people who don't like to read at all, but really like to summarize and ask questions, and above all to get ready-made answers...

I appreciate your interest, it gave error in the direction of the DMI and the Win key, in my backup I found in the following (75E00>75E100 for DMI) and for (Winkey 450000>450030) I made the edit and I did not get the computer to generate image only CapLock and Wifi flashes, the fan now spins slower

Two things have come up from this, first I was trying to dump the backup data for the new image, which did not generate any positive results, did not generate an image andl Fan rotates slower
and two: So I decided to go the other way and copy the DMi of the new image for the backup, the result was that the machine turned on only with a but it is not letting me enter the BIOS by pressing F2 and Windows was left in the infinite loop

I have used the generic macro that Mr Flea posted from this same forum, I feel that I have taken half a step forward, feel free to give your opinion and if you recognize my fault and want to express something to me your comment is more than welcome

Here's the result and the macro I used if you want to review anything

ok clearly I should take the DMI information from the new bios file and copy it to the oldbios, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but by doing this I'm deleting the board data information such as serial number etc need help I thought they would deliberately leave this like that Click image for larger version

The serial number you gave at post 1 is for a different model than the one in the thread title. The serial number is for a HP Pavilion 14 14-n030br.
The bios you posted at post 1 is for the 14-n030br, it has the DMI info in it at the offsets given DMI 75E000 - 75E0FF
                  , key 450000 - 45003F
The bios you posted at post 2 0215BF2B is still encrypted, but it does appear to be the right one for the 13-m100br ,that one in the thread title
The bios for the 14-n030br is BID02161
The DMI offsets that Vesko gave are for the 14-n030br bios at post 1 .
The script at post 4 is not for any of these models, you should not be using it at all.The DMI should be copied with a hex editor

So to recap what you want from this f#c@ed up thread is BID 02161 and the DMI copying from the bios at post 1 to the new one using the offsets above for the 14-n030br

                  .

On this day I set out to find the problem in this very particular case, I have the feeling that it was previously manipulated and deliberately left like that, only curiosity takes us to such unexpected place, because the acronym (DMI) and this appeared, now following my intuition I am going to place the DMI in this place and I will tell you what happened later

If it happens to me here that when I write it is raw without altering the machine turns on immediately places a progress bar from (0 to 100)stops a little when it reaches 86 finishes, restarts and shows that it does not have any type of serial identification number ect this has been a calvary for me to make it work

I want to thank SMDFlea for leading me to the right path to succeed in recovering this notebook, I will describe the method I used below, using virgin bios provided by the hero SMDFlea (02161.bin) rename the file to newbios.bin I also took the backup I made of the original bios and renown as oldbios.bin I placed these two in a tent with the name C: \DMICOPY; with the Tinyhexer program I opened the two files (first I chose newbios.bin and then oldbios.bin in this order) with them loaded in tinyhexer I went to the tools tab first option compare and then third option compare (then tiny starts to do his thing it takes less than a minute, at the end of the process I dedicated myself to generate a macro immediately going again to the tools tab and almost at the end there is Macro>Record Script ( Well, this step is important, Here you take one of the side scroll bars you step on it with the mauses keeping the mause clip, swipe down ^not scrutinizing^ as if you were going down in a document that you are reading a part that interests you, I did it throughout the document and went very carefully through the directions that were indicated to me when I finished I went again to toolsmacro stop script, He's going to ask you to keep it with a name you put the one you want

In my particular case I examined with the tinyhexer the two files side by side and I could see many discrepancies but if you are an avid reader you will see as a pattern how the information is separated mostly in oldbios.bin I perceived that the DMI in my case had other information and I copied the block from 0x75d000>0x75f000 but I also got a text that I found relevant in 0x75c000>0x75c060 which I also copied newbios.bin well with that in mind I went to the Tinyhex tabs save as (don't forget to set the file extension as .bin in my case splitm100brX2.bin

I updated the TSOP8 again with this new information and don't despair the first time it turns on it maps the board so you'll see a brogress flashing bootlock bar
After that I had to hit the power button three times because it didn't start until it did I'm happy with the work I did and the honors go to SMDFlea thank you for your patience and wisdom that multiplies by 1000 in profits and health, thank you very much, I close the case

I have news of this case, I don't know what is happening the computer in couple of times it stopped working, it did not turn on, I had doubts about the BIOS programmer I used (CH341A-USB) so I decided to buy new Xgecu t48, re-write the BIOS again and it lasted a couple of days running, I changed the tsop from (GD25Q64x-original to MX25L6406E) I installed the new chip on the board and tested the computer for three days, yesterday my client retired at 12 o'clock and today in the morning it only worked 30min and turned off again Some of you have an idea of what may be going on I don't know what else to do in this case, the CR2032 battery was also replaced
