You have to backup bios with a hardware device called programmer, there are many brands of programmers but the cheapest (not the best) is CH341A.

The laptop is no longer under warranty and HP refused to help me.

I use a random password generator & I neted the password before put into the bios
Everything works OK until i want to change an option in my BIOS
password is wrong
I don't understand
