T470s asset tag Help

Hi guys so we have had a couple 100 t470s come in and they all have asset tag is there away to remove from the bios dump well am patching the file to remove password

You could try to edit the asset tag with a hex editor.Post one of the bios dumps and the asset tag number here and we`ll see.
If it can`t be done by editing there`s a windows app https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/dow...4-bit-thinkpad

i removed the asset number from the bios file its self reflashed it all but it still showing the asset id in the bios

yes but it would be much faster if i could just remove it from the dump while am doing the passwords on them

a hint: if you want to do the job faster use a separate bios chipset for patched file and leave original bios chipset as is. You can use chipset with patched file for all 100 laptops if they are the same model, no need to patch every bios dump.
If you want to get rid of Asset ID by modifying bios you have to clean ME Region. But it would be much faster if you install win on one ssd and that utility and use it for all 100 laptops to remove Asset ID. Just an idea.
