    I need to reload the bios on my lenovo ideapad l370-17api

    I'm new to the forum and hello to everyone, I'm writing from Italy.

    I need to reload the bios on my lenovo ideapad l370-17api. the bios chip says: 25lb64cs1g. I have no problem unsoldering the chip but I can't figure out which programmer I have to buy.

      you can find on the net, next to each programmer, a database... see which programmer supports your chip...

          So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.

          I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...

          I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
          So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

          Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

          I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

          These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
