Hi guys,
I have an HP Elitebook 8560p which works for a while, then suddenly powers off.
I check the MB and I found a small cap exploded near a 6912 MOSFET (there were 3 such caps in parallel). I replace it with a 2 uF cap and the interval of power off events increased a lot. Initially the laptop was stopping at, in average, every 15-20 minutes, now it works for hours but it still stops once or twice per day.
I also replaced the 6912 MOSFET but it did not made any difference.
Unfortunately I don't have and could not find a schematic for this laptop so I'm not sure which block this parts are from but the MOSFET is marked Q2807 and the exploded cap C2813.
Is someone having any experience with this model and could guide me a bit?
Thanks,
B
