Dell Inspiron 3583 - no backlight

On this board(LA-G712P), I located an open fuse on the opposite side of the display header. I just guessed that had to do with the backlight. Red colored fuse with a + on it. Anyhow, I pulled one from another board and replaced it, testing that it was not open - still no backlight though.

I have a schematic to this board and have also requested a boardview but I figured I'd start a thread as well in case any of you have other ideas to try. Thanks!

Sure looks similar to the G711.

Which part location are you after?

Review if fuse F1 is blown which will cause the backlight to be OFF.

Thank you for the time! That fuse is not blown. I've also tested with another LCD panel to confirm it's not the panel. I'm trying to learn how to read these board view files - which I have now because a user here posted them for me. I guess I should look up F1 and see where its power comes from and trace back from there.

Just checked and there are 19 volts on that fuse.

Also, I don't know why my board view doesn't look exactly like my board. Any ideas?

I realized this because I wanted to check C5 and C6 since those caps where in the F1 circuit.

Are you saying that C5 and C6 are NOT in the same location as the boardview file shows?

Perhaps some minor differences since we are referencing the G711 PCB layout and not the G712.

Correct. My board does not reflect what I'm seeing on the board view or in the image you just posted.
