Not sure if this is the right spot.. earlier this week I obtained a broken LCD screen that came out of an IBM Thinkpad. It's a 14" screen and had the CCFL still in it at the top.
Anyway decided to monkey around with it because it was broken anyway. Got the screen removed and I removed the two tiny screws that hold the CCFL in place. I thought it would slide out like they do in LCD monitors.. nope.
Ended up snapping the upper two corners of the plastic frame where the bulb is.
For future reference does anybody know if you replace the whole plastic frame with bulb included or is there a way to slide the bulb out?
IBM part number is 92P6725.
