HP Elitebook LVDS port

Hi all, I appreciate any help at all on this I have an HP Elitebook 840 a customer spilled tea on it and it shorted/melted the LVDS port I found the schematic here

But i can not find the part number for the LVDS port if anyone knows where I can get a LVDS port I would appreciate it. Every time I google it I get lots of LVDS cables but not the port/connector.

These look to be the LVDS connector style from ipex.

Check the internet and then Digikey for stock. Mouser should also carry the ipex brand.

AliExpress will have clones but quality is best with ipex.

Be sure to measure the size, the pad to pad pitch, # of contacts before proceeding.

I wish the schematic had more info on it, honestly never seen one as melted as this one lol I will look at mouser. Will post what i find.

Nothing comes up on mouser.ca for ipex LVDS guess i need to find a part number somewhere.

Have a review of the following:

Count the # of pins of your connector.

Use a micrometer or similar tool to measure the way dth of the connector on your board. It will be helpful to compare to the replacement part.

Likely you have a 30 pin connector and these parts should be the same form and fit.

Search for 'i-pex lvds'

To replace the one you have, watch the video from Alex at North Ridge repair. He replaced a similar connector on an iMac or macbook. Need to be careful to not rip off any pcb pads!!
