Just wanted to see if I could get some assistance on a tab s7 plus I've got in.
I bought this off eBay after having a bad drop screen and camera glass was slightly cracked surprisingly not that bad. Chassis seemed fine not bent at all. Plugged it in and it was drawing 0.800a at 5v and went up to 1.2A after a minute or so. I assumed the battery was flat so left it for a half hour. Came back disconnected the charger and tried to reset it by holding the volume down and power button for 30 seconds. The tablet then vibrated and now won't draw any current at all.
I disassembled the tablet removed the battery and tried again no change. I disconnected the charge port and reconnected the battery and retried and it drew up to 0.400 and after 30 seconds or so turned my USB c meter off rinse n repeat. Looks like there's a short on the board as the chargers turning off but nothing seems to be getting hot and I don't have any documentation for this device nor a thermal camera and a physical inspection turned up nothing. Some passives near the battery are getting battery voltage 3.7v but that's as far as I've gotten as after those passives it looks like it goes through a via to god knows where
