A1708 5V chip on boardview missing

    Hi all,

I need some help to identify a chip that is missing in all boardview files i found.
    820-00840-A Board for the A1708 with a 5V issue.

via voltage injection on PP3V3_G3H_VR i found a hotspot near the USB C port.
when i check the boardview the chip is not there.

Does anyone know what chip this is?

It is likely the ACE controller = U3100 on the opposite side of the PCB.

820-00840 ❌ ✅ Use 820-00875 which does not have the PI3USB32224BXEAE near USB-C ports and different populated parts for SSD_BOOT_L/SSD_PWR_EN_L (see A1708 SSD). Correct boardview is available in XinZhiZao.

Yeah that's the USB-C redriver and it frequently shorts pp3v3_g3h. Sometimes it has a hole and requires a wire to be run to the tiny 'neck' of one or two of the traces into the board, in worst cases.
