HI All,
I have this A1706 with a strange issue.
1 USB port wont work.
3 others keer working with no issues.
replaced the ports, but same problem.
Replaced both CD3215 with known working ones. no result.
What am i missing?

A1708 5V chip on boardview missing
Hi all,
I need some help to identify a chip that is missing in all boardview files i found.
820-00840-A Board for the A1708 with a 5V issue.
via voltage injection on PP3V3_G3H_VR i found a hotspot near the USB C port.
when i check the boardview the chip is not there.
Does anyone know what chip this is?... -

I found this forum via Google and checked out a couple of threads, descided to join.
I'm a bit of a loner and i normaly just read a lot.
Working as a repair technician parttime in The Hague (Netherlands), mainly Macbook board repairs, bit of a hobby, but does not yet pay the bills. but will get there eventualy.Leave a comment:
