Hp spectre x360 13-ac010tu (2017) No power

Hello everyone, I changed the tps65982da chip due to a shorted circuit and the short on the caps around it is gone now, But the diode beside the chip is still shorted to ground. Can anyone help me how to search the component to buy online or any links that could help me find it?

How will you handle the programming of the firmware for this replaced controller?

Believe the diode is D1 from the schematic inside the attached document.

The diode is shown in the schematic but not stuffed but you can check the document for details. Can you confirm if your diode is wired in the same way ?

I can confirm the diode and the chip are connected on the same trace, But I think the schematic you attached is not for Hp spectre x360. I have the laptop's schematics but i have no idea how to look for the component on the schematics since i have no experience in reading schematics. I attached it if you can help me spot it

Hi. I linked the development board schematic for the tps65982da controller. Often, engineers will follow reference schematics from the chip manufacturer.

The laptop schematic may not be the same as yours since the tps65982da does not appear in the posted schematic. Update: yes, the 2nd schematic looks better. This diode may be at D39.

How are you confirming if this diode is shorted?

You can desolder this part. Then use meter in diode mode to test it out of circuit. The diode should conduct in one direction and block in the reverse direction.
