Lenovo X1 Carbon type 20A7 no POST, 5 sec fan spin, 1 min shutdown

    Lenovo X1 Carbon type 20A7 no POST, 5 sec fan spin, 1 min shutdown

    Have a Lenovo X1 Carbon type 20A7 that initially on power connection will fan spin for a couple of seconds and then maintain S0 rails for about 1~2 minutes before shutting down.

    Only thing I found overall was that the CMOS/RTC battery was 0V, replacing that hasn't resulted in any change of behaviour.

    Keyboard backlight will turn on with the fan spin and also shuts odwn in a couple of seconds.

    Attached is an image of the mainboard details as well as the 16MB BIOS.

    Not sure if this is a known mainboard fault or a BIOS issue or... ?
