Lenovo ThinkPad T460 NM-A581 power on only for few seconds

    Hi all,

any Idea what the problem can be?
Lenovo ThinkPad T460 when i plug the AC Adapter, the board is only for few seconds on, after that is dead, no 3 + 5V presents.
First + second mosfets have 20v, Systemrail 20v too.
had someone such problem? i have this problem with few Lenovo Boards, T460, T460s, X260...
    Thanks for any help

Hi my friend. I have the same board and same problem. As soon as you plug the adapter if you check with multimeter you will see that the 3v and 5v is present for 5 seconds and never comes back. But if you remove the PJ203 Pad that joins VCC3M from the 3v/5v rail directly into the CPU you will get 3v/5v voltage staying constantly. A Friend told me that it is a bad SuperIO which is common on these models that causes this. Difficult to confirm because the SuperIo is programmed and it has glue and balls under it.

3V & 5V is supposed to be present for 5-10 seconds only after pluginng ac adapter. this is how newer mb are designed coz of Deep Sleep Well feature. These rials will come back only when you press power button.
