Re: A1466 820-3209-A not power on

    Hi.

    1) Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Check the resistance to ground for each and every coil on the board. You will be checking for very low resistance (< 10 ohms) which may denote a bad capacitor on that power rail and for that reason, the local power supply IC is turning off / on (chirp mode) to prevent damage.

Re: A1466 820-3209-A not power on

check why this voltage is low... maybe tantalum caps ? PP1V05_SUS = 1,1V trace it and see. pc goes till s4 and when tring to boot on s0 state something is wrong and cut off power.

check that PP1V05_SUS = 1,1V then check all s0 volts rail. also check allsys powergood if someone is missing, also if ic or pads near it are ok too.

                              check r4666 volts both side,
check voltage of PP3V3R3V0_AON if stable at 3.3 volt

                              if u can u can try replace ISL95530HIZ-TR5655 u7100

A2289 MacBook Pro - No power - Need help!
                                by Dallas90
                                Hi everyone,

I need your help with repairing this Macbook Pro. The fault is that the laptop does not power on. there are different current draw from the various USB ports.
It is worth mentioning that there is no liquid on the board after a visual inspection. below you can see all readings and info after some diagnostic.

There are also some thermal images uploaded in the thread.

What should I do next? any suggestions?

                                Thanks in advance.

                                Current draw:
                                USB port 1: 4.9V - 0.356A
                                USB port 2: 4.9V - 0.056-0.60A...

                                A1466 820-3437-B Bios Problem
                                by psdavid65
I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 A1466 820-3437-B motherboard WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?

                                Could someone help me?
I have a Macbook Air A1466 EMC 3178 - 2017, board 820-00165 and sometimes the boot interrupts with an image of a folder and a question mark.
                                Could it be the BIOS?
