Hi, I have Lenovo Carbon X1 Gen 5, my HDMI and TB were working when I got laptop from my friend, but now both of them are not working anymore. I read on lenovo forum that it has to do something with TB drivers, and HDMI is on same chip as TB so they both got corrupted. Poeple of forum said that this TB driver inject too much read into chip and chip gets corrupted. So I'm guessing chip is just corrupted not dead completely maybe. Anyone got some idea about this ?

For Badcaps Readers, Please note that I am hopefully going to present this same message to Lenovo to see if they have any insight to the matter as well and figured to share the entirety here for clarification. The System is out of warranty as it is but does have the option to have it extended.
