Hello. This is my first post here as I am in need of some help with this one. I usually work on Macbooks but trying to fix this one for a family member. This computer originally turned on with AC adapter, but would not charge the battery. New battery was purchased and still same issue. Windows says its charging, but percentage would not increase from 1%. I checked the board and found a short to ground on the BATT+ rail. I found the short was caused by either PC263 or PC264 (I replaced both to be safe). Now it will charge the battery, but will not run off the battery alone. I let the battery charge to 100% and it still turns off when I unplug the charger. With just the battery connected, I am getting cycling voltage on BATT+ and B+ from about 8v down to 2v. With the battery and charger connected, I get steady 12.6v on these rails, and the board starts. I replaced the ISL6251 with a new one, but still have the same issue. I am confused on what could be causing this, so any help is appreciated. I have attached the schematic I am using.

Re: Gateway NV59C works on charger, not on battery
Battery being new does not mean it's good, neither does getting a voltage reading with the DMM. It can very well not be able to sustain any current draw.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardView
