MSI GP62 7RE no discrete graphics detected

Hi, this laptop come to me from other repair shop.

It works all fine but discrete graphics is not detected.

The motherboard is a Thermal 8-M2L4.5 and bios chip is not the original one.

I have downloaded and flashed bios chip with E16J9IMS.324 from MSI website, but nothig changes.

I have flashed EC Firmware with 16J9EMS1.112 via windows. (ECWin.BAT)

The weird thing is that when ECWin.BAT finish its job, it doesn't reboot, only screen goes black and current comsumtion goes up from 1.5 amps to 2.4 amps.

I have to do a forced shutdown, and when power up, discrete graphics is still missing.

What do you think about next step?

    The correct code is MS-16J91.

I have tested NVVDD voltage at the output of pwm coils, and there's no voltage.

the NVVDD_EN signal is present only 300 mili seconds, i don't know if it is enough to NVVDD_PWRGD be active, but in fact NVVDD_PWRGD is always at low level.

The vga-bios flash chip (U38) has 1.8 volts at pin 8, but there are no pulses for read or write (or select) the chip.

I will replace the pwm NVVDD voltage controller chip (U26) (uP9509P) and post if it solves the issue.

    Comments are welcome.

      I have a similar problem.
The laptop works normally but does not see the Nvidia graphics card.
Power (NVVDDS, NVVDD, FBVDDQ) works, but the system does not see the graphics card at all.
The GPU chip does not read any data from the U38 flash, but it has power.
I have no values on the Y5 crystal for the GPU.
I tried the BIOS and GPU flash, but no change.
I will try to replace the GPU chip and see.

        NVVDD_PWRGD is active 3.3V .

This is exactly what happened with mine. Thanks for sharing. Same model and bios. After couple of blue screen errors, dgpu is not detected by the system. I noticed after like 2 seconds into booting APL5930 LDO shuts off 1.8v_AON rail. No physical shorts. EN signals present. Any advice for me?
