Model: Acer Aspire 5740_5340 MS2286

All voltage is normal. They react to the power button. The fan spins and stops. There are no short circuits. BIOS flashed. EC flash did not reflash. Connected an external monitor. There is a scheme. Black screen. No picture. The laptop does not start.
What to check?

Need to replace the BGA Radeon HD5470 graphics chip. These systems do not respond to diagnostic heat up.

Hi ,

First->reload Bios by removing CMOS cell and try to start and check at external monitor

Second->Check voltages on RAM Coil and try replacing RAM or use in other slot

Third-> Without power check impedance of each Coil (Big coils) for RAM and GPU

For reference below is the help

For Generations 1st, 2nd , 3rd,4th (Socket Processors)

Impedance Measured should be above 300 ohm for below coils

For (a) charging coils (b) +3V (c) +5V ( d) +1.8V (e) CPU core (f) CPU GFX (g) RAM coil

Impedance Measured should be above 12 ohm for below coils

For (a) 1.05V (b) +GPU core (c) +VCCSA

check RAM section or first try replacing RAMs or check System power up with removing one stick at a time.
