Its next to the WLAN slot ,its socketed.

I have the same question. By socketed, do you mean that the BIOS chip on an HP 2760p is inserted into a socket on the motherboard and not soldered?

I've attached pictures of both sides of the motherboard. Please point to the BIOS chip. Thanks.

Found the BIOS chip location. See the note in blue on the attached photo. It's very easy to get to and requires no soldering. You simply open the socket cover by hand, lift the chip out with tweezers, drop a replacement chip in, and close the socket cover. For detailed instructions, follow steps 6 thru 9 here.
