How to find someone to repair motherboard?

I have a Lenovo Yoga 910 80VF. It has seen light use for 2.5 years. Now it will not power up. It is my son's and the only thing I can think of that could have damaged it is plugging in of old external desktop speakers (which if it was done was done before with no problem.). I had it checked by a local shop and also at a Lenovo authorized repair center. They both said it is the motherboard. I specifically mentioned the possibility of the daughter-board (power) but they said it's the motherboard

The charging light comes on when plugged in and battery inserted. It is not lit when battery is out. The power light and keyboard light will flash once very 18 seconds or so. It does not start up whether battery is in or out. The reset button was tried. It was fine the last time he used it and the next time just a black screen.

Looks like a letter to Lenovo followed by an Ebay post is what I will be doing. Before I sell it, I was looking for suggestions on possibly repairing it because it is pretty much the same specs I would get in a replacement. the replacement won't be Lenovo...It is used for mainly internet surfing and streaming, email and an occasional document. Not too much really.

    Any advice?

if the laptop charges the battery, daughter boards are probably fine. sometimes, kids drop some water or drink on laptop, but they refuse to mention it. the laptop should be disassembled to check what happened to the mainboard. Sometimes the mainboard can be repaired easily, sometimes can not.

The "kid" is 26....but he's a guy so that's entirely possible. I think he'd have mentioned it as he gave it to me to try to get it started. I did ask him...I cannot repair it. How do I find someone to look at it? Or is it not worth the $? The replacement part is hard to get and I'm quoted $634 plus $75 labor, plus tax.

you should take the laptop to a local repairshop who are famous in laptop repair. they will disassemble the laptop and check the mainboard to see whether it is worth repairing. they should specify the repair cost before doing the repair.

The shops I tried want to replace the whole board. I'm trying to find a shop who repairs them.
