    ASUS G550JK Overheat and shutdown

    Hi all,

This laptop has an overheating issues- couple of mins then power off.
I already cleaned the heatsink and repasted the CPU & GPU.

The fans are spinning but not allways on full speed.

It shuts down during Win10 installation.

Is there any way to patch the BIOS to force the fans to go on 100% constant?

The last resort will be replacing the maniboard but prefer to try some mods before. it has i7 4700hq + gtx850 4g- kind of expensive to replace.

i even wanted to reflash the bios, but it's already at the latest version 205 so the bios easy flash doesn't let me reflash.

i kind of managed to install win10 by spraying cool air for a compressor i have for cleaning every couple of mins.

before i do any soldering to the mainboard in order to force full speed to the fans.

        any other ideas?
