Acer E5-571 Z5WAH LA-B162P

Symptoms: Turns on, fan spins for a second, screen backlight comes on, GPU/CPU warm up. Nothing on display.

+3.3V ALW and +5V ALW are present.

Am I correct to assume that KB9022 needs reprogramming or the symptoms don't match that?

I have tried a couple BIOS dumps for the main bios chip but they didn't help.

If somebody agrees about the KB9022 being the problem, I might buy a programmer for that because it seems I might need it to fix more than one laptop. One Lenovo waiting for it right now and I'm sure there will be more.

Operating system booting? Anything on external? Caps lock/num lock LED being triggered when pressing the key (hoping this does have LED)?
RAM tested good?

RAM okay, tried different ones aswell.
Sadly no keyboard LEDs on this model.
Nothing on external screen usin VGA.

But I managed to find out that it does react to ctrl +alt + del with a restart. And it seems to react to Fn + F5 aswell. That's for changing display output.

So probably GPU fault then? Any way to make it iGPU only?

Does it boot into Windows? Try switching display output from Windows and try both HDMI and VGA if possible.
Also this is NVidia Optimus. I guess it would boot with integrated GPU by default, not doing the rendering on the dedicated GPU. Not sure, someone with more experience with this could tell us more.

It sure seems to POST and there was some activity on HDD But since I don't have windows installatsioon for this laptop, it takes time to get already installed windows ready for this laptop. Since it's all blind, there's no telling if it even succeeded.

Tried heating GPU - no luck aswell.
