Toshiba M645 (LA-6071P) random shutdown

Hi!

After bios reflash unit working. After 5-60 seconds (randomly) cooler spin up, after few seconds shutdown. Cpu replaced, heatpipe ok, no reason. Any idea?

ME is the intel Management Engine firmware in the bios. Upload your bios backup and someone will put a "clean" ME firmware into it.

WTF? After 7 years I have to learn so much. I do not think this is the solution but why not? I bet, the intel bridge. We will never know if it is so.

I feel its not me region issue as the shutdown time is only 60seconds. usually me problem will stay on for almost 30 mins.

Usually in my experience Toshiba's that shutdown randomly means the NEC/TOKIN is faulty.... BUT this is usually once it gets to login screen or anything from 2-10mins but it could be that the one you have is so broken that it just can't last that long....

Long time ago, unit still waste. There is another Toshiba, P770-12R shutdown randomly 5s-180min. Bios flashed from a working unit, no change. Any idea? What part can cause suddenly power loss, for example, it overheats, etc? Capacitor? These units does not have tokin, these are newer models. I replaced the caps on cpu psu. After this P770 works this week 2 days long, today shutdown after 30s....
