synopsis: this unit bring here no power already repair from another shop costumer tells technical render need to change a motherboard (MOBO) also we need a 2nd opinion about her Laptop. i told her need to check actual. she allowed me to do. 1st. i open the unit. I saw already repaired (Tampered Unit) and 2nd. have a history on Water Damage ( have Corroded on area of EC "Multi I/O Chip"). i explain to do and process of my repairing. now she agreed repair.
- i wash the Mobo make it clean. then to wipe out the dirt and stain, flux , corroded. luckily no parts missing
- i blow dry the mobo to dry and i inspect the open circuit luckily no. but on the EC Multi I/O Chip have . i proceed to do what i can. remove and check the trace. then i re installed the EC "Multi I/O Chip".
- yes have a Power now
But No Display Fan spin and stop the spin then stop.
let me know how to fix this. but i check the main rails
