1. Make sure that HDD is drive original from acer factory.
compare sticker bar code (5-6 letters last end) on HDD same with sticker on bottom case cover or sticker on DDR module.
2. Input any letter as password 3x to get hash code (of course are wrong password).
3. Hash code is important key. So make note after appear it.
3. Tool only work on DOS mode.
prepare a removable usb stick for doing job. (rufus/hiren/free dos or whatever).
another option you can try on any pc/laptop to run in DOS mode via cmd hdd_pw.exe maybe require NTVDM (maybe doesn't work, I'm not sure for you. In my case 100% work).
4. Since it is TOSHIBA HDD, be aware. Toshiba HDD is notorious very weak when you try to force ON and OFF the notebook at many time.
5. Read all procedure carefully, try to understand points by points exactly.
6. I'm pretty sure youtube has a lot video about unlock HDD.
7. 3 point important as the keys all job, HDD is original from acer, hash code and DOS.
