Good day folks. I'd like some help with a bricked tablet I got going on here. It's technically a Serioux S1081TAB, but I've seen this exact same one under many other brands and models, so it doesn't really matter.
The problem is as follows: when I got it, the Serioux logo would come on and then it'd display "no command" with the android on its back with a red triangle above. Simply resetting it didn't yield any results. After a lot of searching, I DID grab some firmware files that SUPPOSEDLY you write onto a card with PhoenixCard, put that in the tablet, power it up and it loads the firmware, but of course this didn't work. I wrote the card OK each time, but the tablet didn't do anything different: it just ended back on the "no command" screen, so this was definitely not the way to go. I handed it over to my buddy who's more vexed with tablets than me and he tried a different approach: using the RockChip Batch Tool. He grabbed a firmware (.img file) that, again, was SUPPOSEDLY compatible with this tablet, despite being for a different model, the RockChip tool accepted it and flashed it to the tablet but now the problem got worse, since it no longer turns on AT ALL. All I get is a backlight and that's it. The thing is the tablet COULD actually be booting up, just not displaying any picture. He tried a bunch of different other firmwares from different tablets, chinese, generic ones, but it was useless: it simply won't display anything anymore......
Having a look inside, I decided to go by board model rather than by tablet model, since this exact board could be used in several other tablets, so have a look at the pictures and see it rings a bell. The model on there is a YX106D-RK3168-V1.0 If so, I'd much appreciate some help. I'm close, but just can't hit the sweet spot. Cheers and thanks.
