CQ71 model 450EB ( DA00P6MB6D0 rev D ) ; AC power led at AC connector is ON; the one at the bottom left of the PC (on the audio board) indicating the presence of an AC external PSU is OFF, as is the charging LED;
I have been looking for the reason why the batt is not charging and discovered that the PU5 (ISL6251) pin called CHLIM is at 0V which shuts down the charger IC. The CHLIM is coming from the U20/KBC (ICH9) CCset pin (pin 68): This pin is at 0 at the KBC; My question is why. I checked the TEMP_MBAT: 1.54V; is this OK? and are there other signals to consider at the KBC which could influence the CCSET. (PS all powers are OK).
