Toshiba a200 power issue ?

Strange situation,
Only battery the lcd work fine
battery + psu -> lcd off , battery led on , cpu and GL960 little hot
only psu -> lcd off and cpu and GL960 little hot
after bios reprogramming the situation remain the same
any ideas ?

Check top of the motherboard ( Back side of the CPU ) for NEC/TOKIN Capacitor. This cap only doing these kind of problems. You need to remove it and fill by 4 x 330uf 2.5V tantalum capacitors.

Only with PSU without the battery, turn the laptop on and check which voltages are not present.
