    ASUS G75VX wont post

I got ASUS ROG G75VX which wont post (Black screen) and I would need schemas to it.

It was gone broke while restoring factory defaults (Win 10) it just booted and screen did stay black.

It wont try to load any media if GFX connected is connected a also usbs wont power more than few secs unless hdmi is connected.

when I take GFX card away usbs will power as usuall and it seems that
it tries to load linux from cdrom tough nothing on screen (I dont know if its possible to get picture via intel integrated with this model.

So my assumption is that GFX is faulty I have jheard Win 10 engineering sample drivers breaking GTX cards and this did broke around Xmast 2015

Card is GTX670MX I hope I can get some help with this to figure out what will usually go bad in these computers.

You aren't going to find a schematic. Otoh you can find the boardview (which will be even more helpful), but you'll have to pay a little for it. $3.31 here: http://laptopserviz.bg/enview/boardv...boardview.html

I have bought from this website before. It is generally not possible to get picture via intel integrated gfx on laptops that do not have Optimus. Especially for a gaming laptop like that, i doubt the provisions will be there.

Damn. I cant see much use to boardview files atlest thumbnails wont have any interesting
      information.

I did some tests yesterday and yes indeed if I take GFX out from it CDROm will load something (Ubuntu Server installer) and when I hit enter it will load some more so I think its propably GFX fault also without GFX usb ports are powered as they should.

        Hi,
I have the same notebook with the same issue.
I solved the problem by replacing the .pch chip, try to control it.

Well without gfx card mine boots to ubuntu desktop via cdrom and activates network so i can ping it with GFX it stops post before loading anything.

Now I will investigate GFX even more.

This two file contain driver for gtx670mx (ID 10DE_11A1) and for gtx670M , (ID 10DE_FD4), try this bios, It works well with both.
If you have problems to programm or erase chip it's no a bad file issue

                    THX Ill try those,
One thin what I was thinking is it possible that chip has areas write protected?
Also those areas cannotbe erased also I tried to generate 8MB bios file with http://voltground.com's guide and then non erasable / writable blocks which differs are in area where new generated bios file has FF and inside chip has some real data.

I need to also ask where to put that GTX file?

it seems that Asus models G75V, G75VM, G75VW, G75VX have similar schematics.
you may find one of them.

Usually the procedure to make a corrente bios is:
Download dump from internet , use mmtool to put in
Gpu firmware. I reprogramm a lot of this bios without
any problem. No schematic but I have boardview.
If you tell me how gpu you use i make the correct bios

                          My G75VX has GTX670MX

Another good question is how acurate I need select bios chip if I need to replace it current is W25Q64BV(SSIG) if I recall right and its hard to fin locally in here.
So is any 64Mbit SPI flash with suitable voltage ok or do I need to dig right one somewhere (I am wondering this because of programming problems)

The bios I post work well with your gpu 10DE_11a1 but I think you have an issue with the spi programmer.
What type of programmer you use ?

And with those programmers you have problems to write the g75 bios ?
                                I use a cheap EZP2010 without problems.

                                  Indeed that is really odd

After erase I et blank check error at 0000010
and after programming success and verify I get verify error at 0000062

It seems that it has contact problem. what HEX format I should use there is several ones and Automatic.

                                    Re: ASUS G75VX wont post

It works now eh well it boots to OS and works with Ext display not with internal exept some times it detects internal too and it works but anyway
I got this one in parts so its possible that local ASUS service is screwed display cable or something.

Anyway thanks to all helping me with this!

Now I need to find install medias
