Asus k54hr , turn on somethimes

    I there , guys !!

so its not first time i got this unit with this exact problem , i left one pass by our lab without getting the problem .

its one of does machines who turn on a few times ok , but after a while it will no longer turn on !

So usually this machine does have 3.3volts on S3 and 5 come on S5 command .

the issue is that after i leave it a good time without power it will turn on without problems , but if i use the machine for a while then it will not power at all .
when the machine does not power , i notice there is a consume of 0.02amp , cheking that the rt8206A get warm !!! its not a issue from RT , cheked all fets to this lines including 3va0 5va0 5vs 5v 3vs 3v 3vsus and 5vsus etc , all are ok .. cheked for +12vsus and 12v will not fire up on this conditions ...altough if not 12vsus or 12v then there will be no pwoer for the ENBL circuit for the EN for the regulators making regulator looses completely the EN1 and EN2 (there is no schematic on this motherboard , but alltough there is a boardview , that help me out crossing many circuits , slowly but does help .
Flashed EC Sio and main but same issue . its not a SIo problem as well , sine all is suposed normal !!!
so maybe a small capacitor or something is making the machine to act this way , like in protection mode !!!
if anyone have this expeciente before , well i'm welcome for a solution.

    cheers

    Hi,

I have the same laptop, with the same problem.

The mine has a very low bright green on the led of the battery(second from the left) when it not starts.

My RT8206A does not heat. Sometimes i'am able to start the board if i HOLD the pwrbtn for like 30s, not always but sometimes works.

This laptop broke the conector and the costumer went somewhere else to repair, but came with this issue. So its possible to be some cap near the dc jack?

Have you found the problem somewhere else?
