    Trouble with HP G5000 Laptop

I've just got a HP G5000 laptop (which is just a Presario C500 with HP labels) and I can't find the source of the problem. The problem is that whenever I turn it on,it will stay on for 4 seconds then it will shut off. No POST whatsoever. I disassembled it and reassembled everything to no avail.

Anybody have any idea? I tried replacing the CMOS battery as it was dead but it made no difference.

    Specs:
    1.86GHz Celeron M
    Windows Vista Home Premium (swedish)
    15.4" LCD
120GB Fujitsu HDD (made by Hitachi I guess?)
    1GB DDR2 SO-DIMM RAM
    Model says HSTNN-C17C
    Main rig:
    Gigabyte B75M-D3H
    Core i5-3470 3.60GHz
    Gigabyte Geforce GTX650 1GB GDDR5
    16GB DDR3-1600
    Samsung SH-224AB DVD-RW
    FSP Bluestorm II 500W (recapped)
    120GB ADATA + 2x Seagate Barracuda ES.2 ST31000340NS 1TB
    Delux MG760 case

Uses integrated NB. CPU isn't faulty either. I found a component that heats up quickly marked "PF 100" and looks like it's a inductor. Any idea what do the markings mean?
