Hi,
Acer Aspire E1-571
i3-2348M
HD Graphics 3000
And all the other basics...
The issue with the laptop is:
When you power the laptop on the power and HDD LED lights up and then continue blinking forever. Nothing on the screen. Nothing on the VGA output on external display and nothing on HDMI external display. The fan also never spins.
Took the whole thing apart running only the motherboard with the screen plugged in gives the exact same result. Blinking LED's (Power and HDD).
Tried another few i3's some weaker some stronger. Tried other ram different types and sizes low voltage and normal. Same result
I noticed none of chips heat up, not the CPU and not the MB chip (SLJ8C HM77) no heat on any other chips either.
Any ideas...???
I'm about to reflow the whole board just to make sure everything is seated nicely.
EDIT:
Solved it, I never checked the battery charging side of the circuit, which gave my random voltages. 19.0v --> 15.8v --> 12v and up again jumped around basically.
Found the bugger 4466 chip.
See the attachment.
