dell inspiron 1121

this my personal laptop last night when i power on the Fan spins very fast and continuously and also boot very slow when press power button indicator LED goes on but display come after one mint and then dell logo stuck for one mint after that goes to window.
check with another HDD,RAM,setup fresh window,drivers updates and also update the bios.
also clean the board heat sink but no luck.
any ideas?

how is the voltage of the cmos battery, I had a older hp laptop that acted something like that, replaced cmos battery, then all ok

Something maybe overheating, check the heatsink has not come loose and the thermal interface material has not dried up.

If the board detects overheating or thinks its overheating, that may explain the fast fan and slow operation as the CPU is probably getting throttled back.

EDIT: Just saw you already checked the heatsink. Maybe the thermal sensor is bad?

mine is similar problem with yours smali. I was suspecting the processor. I haven't tried another one, need to borrow from friends. But for the meantime I will try to replace capacitors under cpu socket.
