    Toshiba Satellite L505D-No Boot

    Toshiba Satellite L505D (LA-5332P). No life except for Power LED. Power LED is bright green. Have done the following:

    * Replaced BIOS chip and re-programmed it
    * Reflowed Southbridge
    * Reflowed Northbridge
    * Tried a different processor

    Checked for some voltages (without CPU or Ram) eg.

    * Found 19v at PQ22 on pins 5,6,7,8
    * BIOS chip has these voltages pin 1: 0.14v, pin 2: 0.55v pin 3: 3.3v, pin 5 and 6: 3.3v, pin 7: 1.52v and pin 8: 0.13v
    * Q35 has +5VALW on pins5,6,7,8 but no volts on pins 1-4 (thought pins 1-3 should have +5VS?)
    * Found +3v and +5v at several other points (Where is best place to look for these voltages?).
    * KBC has +3v at pins 9, 22, and 33 and at test point.

    As usual I am stumped at what I should check next. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Recheck bios chip pin 8, should be 3.3v.

      My mistake. I seem to have got a couple of pins mixed up.
      pin 1=0.14v (same as above)
      pin2 =0.56v (same as above)
      pin3 =3.3v (same)
      pin4 =0v (ground)
      pin5 =0.13v (correction)
      pin6 =1.5v (correction)
      pin7 =3.3v (correction)
      pin8 =3.3v (correction)

      Well spotted Francisco.s and thanks for having a look. I am thinking about replacing the Northbridge. I see others have this problem but a reflow didn't help. Any ideas?
