Acer Nitro AN515-55-79V5 battery is recognized but isn't charging

Hello, I have a question. The battery is recognized but isn't charging. Could this be a software issue? I've already tried three other batteries, so I'd rule out the battery itself as the problem. The charger is also supplying sufficient voltage.

What could be wrong that's preventing the battery from charging?

    The device in question is:
    Acer Nitro AN515-55-79V5
    FH52M LA-J891P Rev.: 1B

Thanks. I'm still checking the hardware before I start looking at the BIOS. Are there any common problems with the Acer Nitro AN515-55?

Check charging circuit, maybe damaged DC in MOSFET
Start a new thread in troubleshooting laptops section if you need help https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...mobile-devices
If laptop powers on and boots into Windows, most likely not BIOS issue

I wanted to edit the post for completeness, but it wasn't possible in case someone else encounters this problem.
The charging IC and a capacitor for the GPU power supply were replaced, and now two things are working again:

          1. The I/O board is recognized

          2. The battery is charging

Attached is a picture of the defective charging IC.
