Lenovo Thinkpad 20LT-S0KL1G bricked after writing the wrong eeprom

    Hi,
I was given a laptop with a BIOS locked by a password. I read that one way to unlock it is to read the EEPROM contents, patch them, and write them back. I was using the typical CH341A programmer and clip to do this, but because the clip is so loose, after patching the dump I accidentally placed the clip on the wrong EEPROM and now the laptop won’t boot.

Can I do something to fix it? I’ve attached photos.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I tried it, but unfortunately it didn't work 😔.
The EEPROM chip is MX25L8005M, which is also 1MB.
      Laptop serial number is PF-1D8PGY.

The machine should work from battery, the thunderbolt rom will affect only charging and thunderbolt connectivity. You most likely have something else wrong - either corrupt dump from reading onboard with clip or something else.

Yes, maybe when I read the BIOS EEPROM, I rewrote it incorrectly with the "patch". I didn't remember writing to this EEPROM, but when I verified with the dump, it gave me errors. I did two dumps before the fail, and they both matched the SHA256, so I assume I did the readings correctly.

My clamp broke. I'm waiting for a better one to see if I can get it to work by restoring the original dump. When I do, I'll post here if I've achieved anything. Thanks a lot!
